*update* I have made several stops at Cake since my initial review. Let me tell you - everything I have gotten here has been out of this world delicious! If you haven't gone yet, what's stopping you?? Stopped in for a treat and boy did I get one, or two or... They were just taking chocolate chip cookies from the oven. Yes, please. Ended up getting a variety pack. Don't waste money on the IG "famous" ones. Shop hometown. Better taste, better price.
This establishment was suggested by a friend of mine when I inquired about a birthday cake with an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. theme. From my first interaction with the owners when I gave them the ideas I had for the cake, to the last interaction when I picked the cake up was extremely pleasant. I am extremely satisfied with the experience and the product and I highly recommend this bakery for your needs.
"I recently had the pleasure of visiting CAKE, and I was thoroughly impressed not only by their delectable treats but also by their exceptional hospitality. The proprietors were incredibly gracious and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The M&M cookie was delightfully chewy, the sugar cookie was a perfect balance of sweetness and buttery richness, and the bacon-topped cookie offered a unique and satisfying combination of savory and sweet flavors. Beyond the culinary delights, it is evident that the individuals behind CAKE genuinely care about their customers and the community they serve. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment as a means of supporting a remarkable local business."
Cake was amazing!! I had the privilege of cleaning the windows for Becky & my buddy Spencer. They are awesome people with wonderful personalities. Becky was nice enough to give me a cookie. Healthwise I wasn't going to accept it because I tried to stay away or limit my sweets. But I hadn't had a cookie in a while so I said why not 🤷🏾♂️ OMG the first bite into the cookie I was sols! It was definitely the best m&m cookie I've ever tasted!! I might have to hold off on sweets again till I get back I have to have another one 😂
I definitely recommend CAKE! I am not from the area and I found them while researching for my wedding. They were so kind and friendly from the first time of contact through the entire process (shout out to Emily)! Not only was my cake breathtaking, but it was gone so fast because it was absolutely DELICIOUS! Chef Becky is amazing! People STILL ask me where my cake came from months after my wedding!
AMAZING place! We were in town visiting and happened to stop in. Not only did it smell heavenly, but the folks welcomed us with open arms and talked to us like we had been friends for forever. Highly recommend! HOTTY TODDY!
Place is so so clean and smells great !! I got a cookie and it was so good, very moist and soft and warm ! i would 11/10 recommend!!!!!
First of all… Becky, Emily, and Spencer are my new besties. I make the rounds on Trenton Street daily with my dog, and anytime they’re open I MUST stop by. They always bring my dog, buddy a bowl of water and are some of the friendliest, most authentic, and enjoyable business people I’ve come across. Second… I love sweets and my God do they know how to make some of the most delicious things I’ve ever had. The Cookie Butter Macaron is my new go-to when I’m craving a little treat. I can’t say enough goodness about this place. I love the Jay-Bird and Scottie cookies. LOVE. I hope they thrive, because this is an absolute gem of quality products and service. Thank you Cake! Y’all are the BEST!! May everyone satisfy their sweet tooth by seeing y’all ❤️ 🍰🧁🎂
Great experience!! The sweetest service with the sweetest cookies! We had been traveling all day and we made it in a few minutes before closing. She was very sweet, kind, and joyous! Very pleasant experience!! We never felt rushed and enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere!! Definitely will be back!! The cookies were absolutely delicious!!
Best frosted sugar cookies I’ve ever eaten. They also made a BEAUTIFUL cake for my mom’s birthday. The bakers are also super friendly. Get there early because they do run out of cookies
